Talented Player

One of the most talented players on the PSA World Tour, Mohamed ElShorbagy has flown up the world rankings since joining the PSA in 2006 as a 15-year old schoolboy.
He entered the record books quickly, becoming only the second man to win the World Junior Championship twice - in 2008 and 2009.
He also came close to winning the senior World Championship in 2012, reaching the final of the tournament at only 21.

No time to waste

Mohamed revealed his full potential during the 2014 campaign, winning five events including World Series tournaments at the Hong Kong and US Opens.
The latter in particular was significant because it elevated ElShorbagy to World No.1 for the first time in his career, becoming the third youngest player to reach the milestone.

Domination

Nicknamed “Skyrocket” during this period for his progression, he then becomes “The Beast”, winning the Tournament of Champions title in January 2015 and, after finishing runner-up at both the Windy City Open and the El Gouna International, winning also the British Open for the first time in his career.
A spell-binding run of form from December 2015 to April 2016 saw ElShorbagy dominate the PSA World Tour, bringing him up to six successive World Series title wins, including defending his crown at the British Open.
During that period, ElShorbagy also broke Ashour’s record for the highest ever World Rankings points average in April, a record he then shattered again a month later.
A superb season was rounded off in style when he was crowned the 2016 PSA Men’s Player of the Year.

Rivalry

Mohamed has had to face some tough opponents during his career. And his brother Marwan is one of the toughest! He first lost against him at the quarter final stage of the El Gouna International Squash Open in 2017, and in semis in 2018, after epic matches.
The brothers have already faced up 6 times in 2018, and this is not going to stop!

Brotherhood

The rivalry is of course made of respect and brotherhood, since Marwan joined Mohamed in Tecnifibre Team in 2018 to write his own legend.
Still ranked #1 in the World, the Beast is still dominating his sport, and now plays with his own signature racquet
