Tecnifibre and Aljaz Bedene have signed a multi-year racket and strings agreement.
Aljaz is from Slovenia. He is 23 years old and already ATP world Tour #77.
In 2012 the no.2 player from Slovenia finished in the Top 100 for first time with consistent results on the challenger tour: he also qualified for the ATP 2012 challenger finals.
2013 started well, last week he reached the semi finals of the Chennai ATP 250 tournament.
Aljaz says: “I am so pleased to be joining such a great team at Tecnifibre that is known for its great expertise and family orientated service. For me I fell in love with the racket straight away and have been so well looked after and cared for that I knew joining the Tecnifibre family was the right move for me and my tennis career. I look forward to growing and developing myself alongside Tecnifibre for many years to come."
John Morris from GTC says: "When Tecnifibre expressed an interest in Aljaz, our minds were made up as the service for the players is world class and for Aljaz to be involved in the other exciting projects meant that working within the Tecnifibre family was a must. Tecnifibre has been superb in all their dealings with Aljaz and we are so excited to be a part of such an exciting partnership."
Tecnifibre Sports Marketing Manager, Guillaume Ducruet, says: ” We couldn’t have imagined a better start ! First ATP 250 with his Tecni' stick and first 1/2 finals! Only Janko Tipsarevic our team leader beat him. Aljaz is part of the young generation of rookies have recently appeared in the top 100, I am sure he will be the perfect Janko's team mate and will be a great ambassador of Tecnifibre"
In competition Aljaz uses the new Tecnifibre/ATP products: the TFight 315 racquet and the Razor Code string.
